British Pasture Leather

Reclaiming Leather

British Pasture Leather

Founded by designer Alice Robinson and creative strategist Sara Grady, British Pasture Leather grew from Alice’s search for traceable materials and Sara’s mission to reform food and fibre systems. Together they’re redefining leather as a product of regenerative agriculture.

Sustainable, Fully Traceable Leather

Our Leather Producers

British Pasture Leather has established the first fully UK traceable supply of leather made from hides of cattle raised on regenerative farms, certified by Pasture for Life. They partner directly with farmers, abattoirs, tanneries, and finishers to build chains of provenance, craft, and ecological integrity. From makers of footwear to interiors, their materials support businesses that care about origin, welfare, and ecosystem health. Parnassus leather is produced through their "Service for Farms", which was established to enable UK farms to have their own hides transformed into leather by sharing the production systems they have created. Our collaboration with British Pasture Leather has been crucial in connecting us to UK leather production, with a commitment to traceability, sustainability, and heritage craftsmanship. Alice + Sara

“We have sought to produce leather so that it reveals and celebrates the food system and farming practices from which it came - making it possible to enjoy materials and products with the knowledge that they have not been destructive, polluting, or inhumane in their production or processing. Our approach gives designers and consumers that option, with leather that supports high animal welfare, soil health, biodiversity, and farming practices that regenerate land and ecosystems.”
